Financial Action Task Force (FATF) identifies jurisdictions under increased monitoring and high-risk jurisdictions subject to call for action
23 Feb 2024: FATF publication
On 23 February 2024, the FATF published its latest list/updates of countries undergoing increased monitoring, also known as the 'grey list,' and a list of countries subject to a call for action.
The "grey list" highlights jurisdictions with strategic deficiencies in their AML/CFT/CPF, which have committed or are actively working with the FATF to resolve the identified strategic deficiencies within agreed timeframes, and they are subject to FATF increased monitoring.
High-risk jurisdictions subject to call for action highlight jurisdictions with significant strategic deficiencies in their AML/CFT/CPF regimes. It urges all FATF members to exercise enhanced due diligence and, in the most severe instances, to implement countermeasures to safeguard the international financial system from the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing originating from countries on this list.
